Mike's Pith
& Wind - Love to hate

It’s at times like these you feel free to tackle the Big Questions,
or rather, they drift in from the north and settle on you like a
perplexing doona, and this trip was one of those times. And so,
my thoughts ran as follows:
Many years ago I came to the realisation that the one basic emotion

doing their bit, but it is rather a natural outcome of market forces.
Simply stated, this means that whenever a growth opportunity occurs,
every company rushes to take advantage, each and everyone ignoring
the fact that thirty other companies are going to attempt to exploit
the same opportunity. The outcome is a glut of something. This has
happened before and it will happen again - to the consumers’
temporary advantage - but in the meantime some growers are having
a tough time.
This parlous situation has been compounded over the past two decades
by the desire of several thousand people, of otherwise impeccable
