1) There were no drugs at the Logies
2) The drugs were really expensive
3) The reporter wasn't offered any drugs

Mike's Pith & Wind - Accumulation
I guess we’re all guilty of some degree of accumulation, but it’s only when you reach a certain seniority it manifests as a major problem. And to think that it was only a few years ago I was snidely laughing at people who felt obliged to employ other people to throw out their accumulated rubbish, on the grounds they couldn’t cope with adjudicating on what qualifies as rubbish. (What was the name of that service again?)
Part of the problem is that more comes into one’s house on a daily basis these days than goes out, leading to a state of perpetual material constipation. I have yet to devise the signage that rejects all the suburban magazines, as well as the common or garden variety of junk mail. One of the reasons I share a Post Office box address is to avoid exactly this kind of dross, but if I

ODD SPOT
I think last month's pitiful sight gag summed up the lack of really odd things that have come my way of late. I suppose it's odd that the only thing that's cheered me up lately is reading some of the whacko stories from The Darwin Awards (third edition).
 

Accumulation - (cont.)
miss collecting my mail for even a couple of days I still end up with a box full of advertising material, mostly from printers and stationers and PC pushers. I’m sure I’ve occasionally thrown out something important when I’ve lost patience trying to sort it all out while regular post office (sorry – post shop) customers try to squeeze their way past. read more
