Robbo's blah cont.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank some people whom I didn’t thank during my speech. Please forgive me, but I was in another state of being, in a happy wedding trance, intoxicated with marital bliss. Anyway here we go…..
On behalf of my wife and I, I’d like to thank my brother Jack and his son, “wee Tom”, who flew in from Perth for the wedding, and my Mum and Dad for making that possible.
Thanks so much to Lisa’s Mum, Pamela, for being there. It meant so much to us.
A big thank you to my daughter Holly, who was our ring bearer and helped us with the warming of the rings during the ceremony. She just looked so beautiful.
Thanks to our Celebrant, Juliann Smith, for her warm, relaxed, and friendly contribution.
Thanks to Jenny for her beautiful readings, and we were so moved that her husband Allan could make it from New York for our day. It was so good having the Klepfi together.
Thanks to Paul and Di Barter, who flew in from Tassie to be there. Paul’s my drum maker (Barter Drums), and I must say I was a little disappointed I didn’t get the Blackwood snare drum for a wedding pressie…..(just joking Paul!).
And, of course, I must thank everyone at Montsalvat who made it all run so smoothly.
Oops…but where was the Montsalvat Punch? We’re looking into that right now!
Thanks to Cathy and her assistants Edy and Dave-o for capturing the day on video.
Hang in there …only a few to go. Here are some post-wedding thank yous.
Thanks to Richard Jagger for his wonderful photography and happy vibes.
Thanks to Alan Howe for the lovely piece in the Sunday Herald Sun, (it’s incredible how many people have commented on it).
Thanks to the Brittendens and the Rodeka family for their kind heartfelt wishes… all the way from New Zealand.
Thanks to AbFab for the yummy cake and it looked great too.
Thanks to Tas, the Limo driver, and Graham, the Bentley driver, for their great work.
I would like to thank Mike again for his wonderful work as MC and his very moving speech, and Bill for his beautiful song for Lisa and his slightly slurred speech.
Thanks also to my buddy Broc, (who missed my speech on the night…DOH!), and the lovely Treacle la Belle, (Tracey), for helping us so much.
And finally, (phew), thanks to everyone who has given us their best wishes. We’ve felt a lot of love….man. There you go - I think I’ve thanked everyone now. Bored yet?
Well, Lisa and I were buzzin’ for weeks after and we had a beautiful honeymoon up north. We only booked it two days after the wedding, but still managed to get a good deal, (Mr. and Mrs. Last Minute). We spent four nights at the Breakfree Portsea Resort at Port Douglas, and two nights at the Daintree Eco Lodge. We had a wonderful time and only wished we could have stayed longer. The winter climate is just gorgeous. How can they call it winter??
But now it’s back to work for us both, so I can now say “The honeymoon is over, baby!”
We’re both feeling the post-wedding blues, and it’s been extremely hard getting back into the swing of things.
WE JUST WANT TO DO IT ALL OVER AGAIN!
You can wake up now because I’ve finally finished and I’m totally BLAH’D out.
Bye all.
Til’ next time…. be good!
Love from Robbo, and, of course, the darling Mrs Robbo.
