18.3.16 - I woke up
at 1.00 in the morning fretting about some details
that I might incorporate in my reflections on Matt
Croke's life and eventually got up and wrote down
some notes. I needn't have worried - when the time
came for my chat most of Matt's life had already
been covered and it was just some personal anecdotes
needed.
It was a modest and unpretentious ceremony yesterday
at the Springvale Botanical cemetery and probably
just as Matt would've wanted, although he had plans
to craft his own Croke branded guitars amongst other
things so bowing out now wouldn't have been on the
agenda. I'll take it as another salutary warning.
