Soirée
in Croydon 11.10.15 - It was a purely
social occasion as it happens, but perhaps it's
something I could consider in future - just me and
a guitar (electric or acoustic). Anyway, It was
a steamy Saturday night in downtown Croydon and
there was thunder and lightning and a BBQ. Chris
Kay invited me to try out his Cube amp in my quest
for something less heavy than the Hot Rod and I
sang a couple of tunes. That's all.

supposed to be the inaugural Wings & Wheels
show at Lilydale airport in support of a number
of charities including Alkira (Box Hill) where my
son Chris attends. Last minute hitches meant that
the actual Wings & Wheels show was postponed
until 2016 but the fundraising dinner at Coombe
Yarra Valley (you know, the Melba Estate with the
massive macracarpa hedges at Coldstream and where
the ghost of Dame Nellie serenades you when you
visit the toilets), slotted for last night went
ahead nevertheless. Quite a number of the supporting
charities were in attendance and there was entertainment,
auctions and raffles as well as the two course meal
including Coombe Farm wines. It was quite a night.
